Mum brought our 八字 to fortune teller to get a auspicious date for our actual day, so we got the date now!
My actual day is 7th Dec 2010, so I need to settle a lot of things within this 2 months.
过大礼, Bridal package, buffet, bouquets..
Finally decided to have 2 banquets in December this year, I know it will be very rush, but I have to make it happen, with the help of my parents and my best friend - Karen.
Banquets --> I have too little friends *sad*
Sad to say, I didn't invite many friends to my wedding.
SG - I only invited 8 relatives (immediate family) and 9 friends, the rest are all Mr Koh's friends and colleagues.
Ipoh - I only want to invite Karen and her hubby. Beside my family member, Mr Koh family member and my relatives, the rest are my parents friends!
People always say, we do not need a lot of friends, we only need few (2-3) true friends!
I am the lucky one, I guess I have 3-4 true friends, especially Karen. I enjoy sharing my life with her! I miss those crazy time we used to have.
Mission
The groom will be a busy man in Oct and Nov, therefore I am trying to settle as much as thing possible myself.
But we need to travel back to Malaysia to try the wedding gown, to take photo shoot and blah blah blah..
Do we have enough of time?? I am not sure!!
Conclusion
I want to be a happy bride!
After listening to Karen, we dropped the studio an email. Below is their reply:
1. On the shooting day, there will be approx 200 photos taken.
2. We will choose 30 photos from the 200.
3. Our album will contain 30 edited photos.
4. We will have 1 album only.
5. Our package doesn't contain the 12R size photo
6. The charges for additional master photo in CD: USD 8 per pcs (without editing), USD 15 per pcs (with editing)
Nvm, I am getting another simple bridal package from Ipoh, I must master the negotiation skill and try to bargain more free stuffs from the studio.
I wanted to rebond (straightening) and color my hair one week before the photo shooting, but after asking the makeup artist, I decided to postpone the idea of "making" my messy hair to mid of Oct.
According to the makeup artist, it will be very difficult for her to style my hair and all the set up (e.g.: curl) will not last more than an hour.
So beside advise on hair, here are the things she suggested me to do:
1. Remove unwanted hair
2. Clean my nails (so, should I get a pedicure and manicure?)
3. Wear a strapless and skin color bra, or Nu-Bra (Bought 2 bras from Triumph)
4. No make up on photo shooting day
5. Wash and blow dry your hair and do not apply any hair cream/oil/products to your hair.
6. Do not drink too much water the night before to avoid panda eyes.
7. Sleep early to avoid dark circles (So, I want to get sleeping bills from doctor!)
8. Bring makeup remover and slipper.
9. Bring tissue and wet-tissues.
10. Bring 2 water bottle and straw (easy to drink)
11. Umbrella
12. Camera
13. Wear a button top, so easy to take off.
Mr Koh and I met up with Karen, and I shared our pre-wedding photo package with her. She is very disappointed with the package we have purchased!
She analyst the whole situation with us.
1. we do not know how many shots are they going to take?
2. besides the 20 photos in album and CD, what other items do we have? example: postcard? 8R photos? or 12 photos?
3. How many gowns can we choose?
4. Because of the tight schedule, they have to alter the gown in a day. So how are they going to do it?
I feel stress and angry, the planner didn't ask all that questions for us!
We should engage an experience planner!
Should I get the wedding card from those ready made card company?
Recently I have contacted Inuboss to get a quotation, they have replied me.
I like this design, but they are charging me $3.40 per card.
I like this design.
So should I choose this design or stick with JL's design???
Usually if you have your banquet in hotel, hotel will give you a free suite room but we have our banquet in restaurant, therefore we have to find a hotel!
I have short listed few hotel:
1. Quincy Boutique Hotel (Orchard)
2. The Club Hotel (somewhere behind URA)
3. Studio M Hotel (Clarke Quay)
So, which one to choose? I like The Club Hotel, but Quincy is having very good deal now! Think think think..
I decided to have a non floral hand bouquet for my wedding is because I want to keep my hand bouquet! I want something that can last forever!
However I couldnt find any store in SG selling the non-floral hand bouquet.
Therefore, I have been doing some homework on "DIY Hand Bouquet", but there are no useful information yet..

Today we went down to View Lang to sign the contract and settle the deposit.
The restaurant manager invites us to stay for food tasting, and it is 25++ per pax.
We do not have any programme and we didn't want to waste another trip so we decided to stay for the food tasting.
Only one word to describe it, FANTASTIC!
Red Wine - Mr Koh likes the red wine very much, the taste is quite dry.
White Wine - He doesn't like it but I like it, cause it is very easy to drink.
Appetizer - Salad (Can't remember the name)

Wasabi Prawn - Mr Koh's Favourite
Curry Duck - Signature Dish
I like the curry duck very much.. It tastes like chicken... I wish to have it again..
The planner just sent us the quotation from her printing vendor.
It is extremely expensive!
A card costs $18.50 , so if I want to print 100 cards, it will costs me 1.85k!!
Can you imagine that, it is damn bloody expensive!
And if I do not have the ready to print solution, they will charge me $200-$500 for the solution/template.
Please note that, envelope is not included in this!
Therefore, in total I need to spare $2.3K (invitation card printing + solution + envelope)
So I have decided not to give my business to this vendor!
My sister and I are wondering why the planner always introduce such an expensive deal to us??? why..
A simple boarding pass design costs us 7.50 per card!
May be I shouldn't engage any planner in the first place..
The planner had viewed our 1st design, and she said the printing costs will be very high!
So, I decided to ask JL to do another design for us.
She did a great job again!
The color of the card matches our theme and the color of the restaurant. So, Mr Koh and I decided to choose this design.

Planner just informed us the JP - Mr Chan Kai Yau is not doing Sunday ROM, therefore she suggested any JP for us. His name is Dr Chung Tang Fong.

I always have a lot of excuses just to stop myself from going, always look for excuses! I hate myself being a coward.
I was struggling throughout the whole run, I gave up few times..
Where is the problem and what is the problem?
Completed the run in 1hr 20 minutes. I am so disappointed with my result.
Today we received a letter from HDB, and they just want to tell us HDB has decided to proceed with the construction of our flat. They will invite us to sign the Agreement for Lease and pay the down payment in due course.
HDB is taking so much time to process the application. The flat selection is closed on mid of august!!
I have no idea when are they going to invite us to HDB to sign the agreement of lease. Mr Koh's friend booked a flat in May, and they haven't sign the agreement yet.
My colleague signed the agreement on May, and he told me the tender is not close yet.
The BTO project (Dec 2009) behind my block is still an empty field.
Anyway, the whole process usually take more than a year before the construction starts the work:
1. Submit our application - March 2010
2. Receive our queue number - May 2010
3. Select our flat - July 2010
4. Sign the agreement - Date unknown
5. Constructor to submit tender - Date unknown

It is Sept now, and we just received the letter saying they finally decided to start the project.
Seriously, HDB needs to speed up the whole process!
Yeah, the trip is confirmed, we are flying to Bali to take our wedding photo on October.
Our planner engaged a studio in Bali to do the pre-wedding photo trip, the studio has more than 18 years experiences in Taiwan. The name of the studio is Ido Ido Bali.
The studio is near Kuta beach, so we decided to stay in Harris Kuta Resort.
I am so excited and happy.
Finally we have taken one step forward.

Viet Lang @ The Art House is a Vietnamese restaurant.
The design of the restaurant is not as fantastic/grand as 1827 Thai, it is a very simple restaurant.
Mr Koh doesn't like the restaurant, but to hold a private event, the minimum spending is 2.8K++.
So which one should I choose?
Mr Koh and I went down to check out the restaurant - 1827 Thai together with our wedding planner.
The restaurant is located at Arts House of Old Parliament House.
Mr Koh and I fall in love with the place, the restaurant is so nice.. I like it very very much.
The restaurant is so grand and well designed, so we can save on the decoration cost.
And I like the toilet very much, they have a very nice and clean toilet. The moment I entered the rest room, the feeling like I have entered a 5-star beach resort rest room..
However, the minimum spending of the restaurant is 4K++. It is out of our budget, so we will check out another restaurant.

After reading review of Heaven's Loft on some food blog, Mr Koh and I decided to go down to taste out their food..
Heaven's Loft is having "weekend brunch" promotion, it is ala-carte brunch buffet.
The weekend brunch consists of:
1. Starter - Soup and Salad
2. Bread
3. Main Course - Sandwiches, Wrap, Spaghetti, Fish and Chips
4. Eggs - All the ways you want your eggs to be!
5. Desserts - Cakes and fruit
6. Drinks - Fruit Juices, Coffee and Tea
Our selection:
Starter
Wild Mushroom Soup - Mr Koh and I like the soup, I had 2 bowls of this.
Potato Salad - They mixed apple into the potato salad, it is a very good combination.
Main Course
Heaven's Loft Club Sandwich - The bread is abit too hard.
BBQ Chicken Wrap - It tastes good, but the portion is a bit "huge". After having this, you can stop eating the rest.
Scramble Egg - Normal.
Dessert
Mud Pie - Not as good as Coffee Club's Mud Pie
Wine Jelly - Special, Unique.
The brunch promotion is really worth the money. The brunch promotion starts from 10a.m to 3p.m. and only available in weekends.
So far, Heaven's Loft managed to score 7 out of 10.
Next Tuesday, Mr Koh and I will go down to Thai 1827 to check out the place.
